A Fall Backyard Wedding in Wantage, New Jersey


There’s something really special about photographing a wedding in a place that already holds so much meaning. M + T got married in Tim’s childhood backyard in New Jersey, surrounded by the soft colors of fall and the people who mean the most to them. From the start, the day just felt calm and intentional.


Getting ready inside the house felt slow in the best way. The kind of morning where everything unfolds naturally—quiet laughter, family moving in and out of rooms, the sound of rain starting to fall outside. It felt like everyone was just soaking in the moment.


When it came time for the ceremony, the rain didn’t stop them for a second. They stood side by side, umbrellas in hand, walking down the aisle together while everyone cheered. There was something so genuine about the way they embraced it all. The weather, the setting, the emotion—it all just felt real.


Shooting this day reminded me of why I love what I do. It wasn’t about perfection or perfect light, but about connection, nostalgia, and the kind of love that feels steady and honest. M + T’s wedding was the perfect reminder that sometimes the most meaningful days are the ones that unfold exactly as they’re meant to.
