In this blog post I will be discussing an engagement shoot that I photograph with Devin and Jon. The location was a parking garage which is one of my favorite places to shoot, and it had amazing views of downtown Fort Lauderdale with the sun setting behind us. I love shooting in places like this because they allow us to capture such unique angles and views. The parking garage is a photo shoot location that I've been wanting to do for a while now because it is filled with beautiful architectural details.

Devin and Jon are a fun loving couple who wanted something that was different from the norm. They wanted something to be a fun memory, something unique and also a little challenging for me as the photographer. They had an idea of what they wanted their engagement photos to look like and so we set out on our adventure! Devin wanted lots of movement and MOTION BLUR! I was so excited because I am a huge fan of motion blur and we really got to experiment a-lot. This session has some of my favorite photos I have taken to date.
Okay... But a Parking Garage?
It's Unique!
If you're looking for a place that is filled with beautiful architectural details, but also has lots of clutter-free spaces, a parking garage is the perfect location. A parking garage provides the perfect backdrop for an engagement shoot. It's unique in that it isn't something that most people would think of when they think of engagement photos and this makes your photos stand out from the rest!
UM THE SUNSET!
Being on the East Coast it is hard to get epic sunset photoshoots. The sunset behind us and we don't get any of that glowly light on the beach since the buildings pretty much cover the sun as it is setting. That is why the top of a parking garage down town is such a good spot! The sun was ~GIVING~
...and its EMPTY!
You and your Partner can really let go and feel free. There is no one else around. It gives you room to move around, run, spin and with no pressure of anyone looking or getting in the way. 10/10 would recommend.

The love I have for this shoot
I had such a great time shooting with Devin and Jon. They were willing to try anything I suggested, which made my job easy! They are an incredibly fun couple who made this shoot so much fun. The best thing about this engagement session was seeing how much they love each other and seeing how their love shines through in their photos.
